Newport Beach Wedding: Bing and Peter

Newport Beach Wedding: Bing and Peter

"An answered prayer he is to her; the greatest blessing ever she is to him."

If one puts utmost trust to God, everything will fall into place. This stands true especially for Bing and Peter.

Bing said that before he met Peter, she has surrendered everything to God.  She is tired of being alone, yet she doesn’t want to settle just with anyone. She wants to be with “THE ONE.”

Bing and Peter have just known each for six months (they met in June 2012 and became a couple December 2012) but this didn’t come as an obstacle for Peter to pursue Bing. Peter showed and made Bing feel that she is everything to him. From the surprised helicopter ride, to the monthly bouquet of flowers, to the 2-hour drive to San Diego just to surprise Bing with her favorite cake are just some of the gazillion things that Peter would do just to make Bing happy. And Peter has been is very successful in making Bing happy! His ways of surprising Bing just never ends. During their wedding, Peter surprised Bing with a video of her sister from New Zealand. It was a touching video message for Bing that Peter managed to withhold from her future wife. Bing, on the other hand adores everything about Peter. She is very proud that she found someone who just doesn’t respect her but also respects her family. When Peter finally announced that they are already a couple, Bing’s mom was relieved and called Peter as an “answered prayer.” Apparently Bing’s mom and her entire congregation have been praying for Bing to find “THE ONE.”

Though Peter is really not that introvert, Bing is the more outgoing person between the two of them (yeah, it took Peter a while to warm up during our engagement session). So when we asked Peter what he really likes/love about Bing, he gave us this short but very sweet answer: “She really completes what i am not and because of her i feel complete. Cheesyness overload but we are totally diggin' it. Awwwww! Enough said, we hope that you enjoy viewing their wedding photos as much as we did. J

Orange Wedding: Faisal and Shama

Orange Wedding: Faisal and Shama
August 2013 Wedding: A very sweet, loving and good-looking couple. These are the three words that can best describe this couple. Faisal and Shama had a very intimate wedding. They celebrated this milestone with the most important and dear people in their lives.Their wedding reception was just overflowing with joy, love and laughter.

From time to time, we would get requests from our clients to limit the photos that we are going to post in our website and of course, we respect their privacy. That being said, please enjoy these very few photos we are sharing with you from their wedding. :)

Los Angeles Engagement: Jon and Gina

Los Angeles Engagement: Jon and Gina
On May 17, we received a call from Jon asking us if we can meet him and his fiancee the following day to discuss the possibility of having us as their wedding photographers. We showed them our previous works in a very detailed manner- from wedding details, dressing up, ceremony and reception. We showed them our styles (photo journalistic vs. traditional) when capturing photos. In less than 30 minutes, we closed the deal. Jon and Gina is the type of 'hassle-free' couple. During our conversation, Jon was very vocal in saying that they have full trust in us executing the pin up engagement they want to achieve. They are just so down in everything we ask them to do. So we are SO excited to share their e-session with you. :)

Wedding: Chi and Kathy

Wedding: Chi and Kathy
We know that we keep on repeating this but.. pardon us for not updating our website. Things have been pretty busy lately with the recent events we have covered. We promise that we will grab every opportunity we have to update this blog.

Let's start with Chi and Kathy's wedding. Their wedding was held on May 25, 2013 at the very solemn St. Catherine of Siena at Laguna beach followed by intimate reception at luxurious St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort. Despite the very strict church rules (no flash, can't take photos near altar/aisle) and a few mishaps during reception, our lovely couple still managed to joy this very special day. Our cameras just love them! I guess we have prepped them really well for this big day. (See heir engagement photo session here.)

About a week ago, I received a phone call from Kathy saying how impressed they were with our photos, even with the unedited photos. Of course, my heart melted and Russell was overflowing with joy. Kathy even mentioned that she recommended us to her friend who is getting married March of next year (keeping our fingers crossed!). For now, we hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did. :)

Engagement: Susan and Emma

Engagement: Susan and Emma
On June 26, 2013, The U.S. Supreme Court made history with its rulings on same-sex marriage in the state of California. It's still vivid in my memory when Emma told me how anxious they were with what is going to happen on this day- the day Supreme court upholds law for same-sex marriage. So when I learned over the news the favorable decision, I couldn't be happier. It might be unknown to many but 5 out of the 8 godfathers of our son are gay. Yep. That's right. They are gay. Two of Russell's aunts are also gay. So you can probably say that gays really have a spot in our hearts.

Susan and Emma are very first gay couple (and we hope we get to cover more gay weddings in the future!). We had their engagement shoot on June 15th and the timing to post their e-session photos couldn't be more timely. We started our shoot at their cozy apartment in L.A. because they want to have their fluffy bunny to be part of their engagement photos (and yeah, the bunny is just too adorable!). Afterwards, we headed to Beverly Gardens Park and Beverly Hills City Hall. Emma said she hasn't been into any type of photo shoot but her photos prove otherwise. Susan, on the other hand, is just so down. She's the "I'll do whatever you want me to do" type of person which actually works to our advantage. We really had fun!

We couldn't be more excited with their wedding this July. But for now, we hope that you enjoy they engagement photos as much as we do. :)
